Spaltekanden by Spring Copenhagen
The pitcher designed by Eva Stæhr-Nielsen in 1933 is her (and Saxbo’s) best-known work. It was in production from 1933 until the workshop closed in 1968. The pitcher is made of stoneware with a matte white glaze finish and handmade in Portugal.
The sculptural, unique shape allows you to use it as a jug, vase or just as a decorative object on the shelf. The pitcher's shape emerges by a unique utilisation of a turned, tall and narrow neck that is cut-through. One part is bent forward as a spout, while the second is bent backwards as a handle.
