A pair of vintage Hans J. Wegner (1914 - 2007) PP201 armchairs in solid oak, with wenge inlay and original paper cord. This armchair was the first chair drawn in 1969 by Wegner for PP Møbler. That same year, Wegner also designed PP Møbler’s logo and played a pivotal role in encouraging PP Møbler to launch their own line of products. Prior to this chair, PP Møbler had been producing the frame for the iconic AP19 Papa Bear chair (today known as the pp19) for Wegner and was also responsible for producing many of Wegner’s prototypes. For the next 25 years, all of Wegner’s best and new designs were produced by PP Møbler and iconic pieces such as ‘The Round One’ (The Chair) and the Papa Bear Chair amongst many others, was also entrusted to PP Møbler.
